Common questions
Is the desktop app free?
Yes. The desktop app is included with every Relvema plan, including the 14-day free trial. Just download it and sign in with your existing account.
Which Mac download should I choose?
If your Mac has an Apple chip (M1 or newer — most Macs from 2021 onwards), use the main Mac download. If it has an Intel processor, use the Intel installer link. You can check yours under Apple menu → About This Mac.
How do I sign in?
Sign in with your existing Relvema account — email and password or phone number work right in the app. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, the app opens your browser for a moment to complete sign-in securely and brings you right back.
Is it different from the web portal?
No — it is the same product with the same data. Anything you do in the desktop app shows up in the browser instantly, and vice versa. You can use both interchangeably.
Is the desktop app HIPAA compliant?
Yes. It uses the same encrypted connection and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure as the web portal, with a Google Cloud BAA in place. Session recordings are processed the same way and deleted automatically after processing.
How do updates work?
When a new version is available, the app shows an "Update your app" notice in the sidebar. Download the latest installer from this page and install it over the existing app — your account and data are unaffected.
When are the iPhone and Android apps coming?
The mobile apps are in active development. As soon as they are released, the download buttons on this page will go live.
